Description
Carmine Infantino and Dave Hunt Nova #20 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1978). This full-page splash is so explosive, they should have made it the cover! Nova rockets above a residential neighborhood at blazing speed, radiating power and the unshakable confidence of a high schooler with newfound cosmic abilities. Originally introduced in the 1970s as Marvel's bid to capture Spider-Man's success, Nova has since blasted his way beyond Earth's streets to become one of Marvel's most enduring cosmic heroes. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 14" (including the stat header paste-up). Glue residue staining due to missing indicia paste-up, slight toning, moderate smudging, spot staining in image area, tape residue staining on top edge, screentone, whiteout corrections, trimmed edges/corners, blue pencil editorial marks, and minor handling wear.
