DescriptionCarmine Infantino and Bernard Sachs Green Lantern Comics #39 Unpublished Splash Page Original Art (DC, 1949). Created for an issue #39 that never came to be, as this Golden Age title was sadly canceled with issue #38. The story "The Menace of the Marching Toys!" languished on a shelf at DC until it was written off in September of 1949. However, in 1972, DC was looking for stories to fill their increased page counts, and so this story did see print at that time, in Green Lantern #88. A fantastic find from the Golden Age, created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". The very toned page bears the "Written Off" stamp in the lower margin and is in Very Good condition.
