Brandon Peterson and Matt Banning Magneto Rex #3 Double Page Spread 2-3 Original Art (Marvel, 1999). A pivotal moment for mutantkind, as Magneto lays claim to the once mutant-enslaving island nation of Genosha, prompting his son Quicksilver to reflect on the events that led to this turning point -- including a necessary team-up with the X-Men's Rogue and Amelia Voght of the Acolytes. The events depicted here set in motion a slow march toward the cataclysmic tragedy that would unfold just 18 months later at the start of Grant Morrison's celebrated New X-Men run, a version of which was adapted in the first season of the Emmy-nominated X-Men '97 animated series. Crafted in ink over graphite across two Image Comics Bristol boards, conjoined with tape on the reverse, with a combined image area of 20.25" x 15.75". Light handling wear.
