Bob Powell - Original Art for Man in Black #1, page 1 (Harvey, 1957). Bob Powell's predilection for drawing the finest ladies in comics is obvious in this splash page from The Man in Black #1, which introduces the Weaver, she who weaves the patterns of life. That mysterious, shadow-faced Man in Black, Fate, is bookended by two gorgeous gals, Venus, the goddess of love, and Weaver, both drawn and finished with finesse by Powell, an appreciative master of female anatomy. The overall art size is 15" x 22" with a 12" x 18" image area. The art itself is well kept, but the work shows some overall aging. Still, a beautiful example of Bob Powell's way with women.
