    Description

Bob Powell and Chic Stone Strange Tales #130 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1965). Beatlemania collides with Marvelmania as the Human Torch and the Thing "Meet the Beatles!" No Beatles appear up front, here, in Powell's variation on the customary Torch-vs.-Thing mock-battle, but the English rockers served as the inspiration for the tongue-in-cheek story, which old-timer Powell (then a newcomer to the emerging Marvel scene) co-wrote with editor Stan Lee. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Occasional spot-staining, with light smudging and handling wear. Otherwise, in Excellent condition.
