Bernie Wrightson Swamp Thing #1 Splash Page 21 Original Art (DC, 1972). Bernie Wrightson channels raw emotion in this captivating splash as Alec Holland, newly transformed by grief and rage, unleashes the full force of nature's fury, smashing a car and hurling a killer through the window. This iconic moment from "Dark Genesis!", the origin story of the second and more familiar Swamp Thing, perfectly defines the character's primal essence. This key issue marked a significant turning point for DC Comics as the character became a symbol of horror, ecological themes, and complex storytelling in their universe. Crafted in ink and white paint highlights over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Bernie Wrightson in the lower margin.
