Angelo Torres Classics Illustrated #63 - The Man Without A Country Splash Page 1 Original Art (Gilberton, 1964). The specter of Philip Nolan hangs over the U.S. corvette Levant on the opening page of a seafaring tale about "what it is to be a man without a country." Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". There is a vellum overlay with a stat of Nolan adhered to the top of the board with tape. Discolored production tape and residue staining are present, along with marginal notes, spot stains, and corner/edge wear. The "The Man Without a Country - Edward Everett Hale" paste-up at the top of the board is a modern replacement and not original. In Very Good condition.
