Description

Alex Toth Creepy #6 Splash Page 2 Original Art (Warren, 1965). Toth's masterful sense of design and almost three-dimensional perspective distinguish this main-title whopper from "The Stalkers," a story about an imaginary (or not?) invasion. The crowning touch is Toth's unique style of lettering. A cameo (lower left) depicting Uncle Creepy, the book's host/narrator, is a photostat of a drawing by fellow artist Jack Davis. Ink, ink-wash, and crayon shading on kid-finish Bristol board, with drybrush effects. The image area measures 12.5" x 17.5", with light toning/smudging. Excellent condition.
