Description

Alex Nino - Original Art for Weird War Tales #25 (DC, 1974). It's April 1945, at the climax of the second World War. American units have entered the outskirts of Berlin. Inside a top secret laboratory, the doctors abandon their nefarious military experiment and run. The patient that they leave behind, wrapped up like a mummy, is in for a horrific surprise. This is the first page from the story, "The Unseen Warrior," written by George Kashdan, and illustrated by Alex Nino in his trademark kinetic line style. The overall page size is 10.5" x 15.5" with a 10" x 15" image area. The art shows some slight aging, and there are tape stains on three of the edges. There are also some slight editorial markings in blue line in both panels. Still a wonderful example of early Nino American mainstream art.
