Walter Lantz - "Waiting For the Break" Illustration Original Art (1927). Talk about being in a bad spot -- this poor hunter is really "up a tree" in more ways than one! This amusing ink and grey wash drawing is dated "27" -- that's two years before Mr. Lantz arrived at Universal Studios to begin producing the "Oswald" cartoons. This drawing was probably created during the time Lantz worked as an animator for the John Bray studios, and could have been part of the "Unnatural History" series. The art measures approximately 11" x 11", and is matted and framed to an overall size of 23.75" x 23. The art and mat are in Excellent condition, and the frame is in Very Good condition.
