The combination of William Shakespeare and Virgil Finlay must be counted as one of the most enchanting pairings ever in the history of modern American illustration! This bewitching scene illustrated Act II, Scene I, of A Midsummer Nights Dream and its caption read, "The juice of it, on sleeping eyelids laid, Will make or man or woman, madly dote Upon the next live creature that it sees." The illustration has an image area that measures 7" x 5.25", and the art is in Excellent condition.
