Robert Crumb "Zap Comix "Far Out!" Sketch Original Art (1968). This "faux" Zap Comix cover drawing by R. Crumb came from one of the many sketchbooks Crumb carried with him wherever he went. It's possible he was experimenting with the logo lettering style here, as the detail in the drawing itself is a bit scant to be used as an actual cover. At any rate, it's a great early piece that will be fun to display; it was included in the Museum Ludwig hardcover book, Yeah, But Is It Art? in 2004. A sticker on the back of the frame indicates this was also included in a recent Paris art exhibit. The art is in ink and whiteout on paper, with an approximate image area of 6" x 9". Very Good condition. Framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 13" x 16". From the Eric Sack Collection.
