    Description

Robert Crumb What Does It All Mean? Sketchbook Page Original Art (1972). A pitiful soul, naked for all the world to see, has a hard time understanding just what the Sly and the Family Stone hit tune "Family Affair" is all about, in this funny, detailed sketchbook page drawing. Crumb's "Harry Krishna Junior" character co-stars, plus a nicely rendered jukebox. The page is marked, "Aspen Colorado March 1972," and is signed by Crumb. The page measures approximately 6.75" x 8.25", and is matted and Plexiglas framed to an overall 13.5" x 15". The backside of the frame shows a photocopy of the reverse side of the page, featuring a funny portrait of Crumb gleefully sketching away -- this and another sketch on the back were by a different artist; Crumb does add six small character sketches to the bottom of the page.
