    Description

Robert Crumb Two-Sided Sketchbook Page Original Art (c. 1964). Can we talk? This sketch page, pulled directly from one of Robert Crumb's numerous sketchbooks, features a group of ladies who seem to be in the midst of some very juicy gossip. Crumb puts his spin on these considerably-calved courtesans, from the matronly to the maidenly, with an age range of 17 to 70. The art was drawn on a sheet of 8.5" x 11" sketch paper, matted and Plexiglas framed to an overall 15" x 17.75". Although only the front is shown, both sides of the paper are covered with Crumb's succinct depiction of feminine form, with the addition of a few cartoony birds for comedy relief. Both sides are signed in ink. Very Good condition. A photocopy of the reverse side is included.
