    Description

Robert Crumb - Original Sketches (undated). Crumb's fascination with the 1920s is not limited to just Jazz and Blues. He is also very into silent films, as shown in this beautiful two sided piece on lined paper. Rendered in pencil, he draws five actor's portraits from the time before talkies. A far cry from his more familiar cartoony style, these portraits prove the depth of Crumb's artistic skill. Both sides of this 8.5" x 7" are well done and have no white-out. A unique piece for the underground collector or any afficianado of silent films.
