    Description

Robert Crumb - Original Sketches "Apprentice Teacher" (undated, early '60s). This two-sided sketchbook page is a charming collection of drawings from the formative years of underground guru Robert Crumb. Side one features a delicately-rendered tonal pencil sketch titled "Apprentice Teacher," while the other side sports ten or so various doodles, including a Frtiz-like feline who asserts "Boy, I'm a neat guy!" There's also a self-portrait, which brands its subject "a clod." A fascinating peek into the earliest years of this important artist. 7" x 8.5", excellent condition overall, with some creasing in the lower right corner, and general aging.
