Robert Crumb Letter to Ward Kimball with Sketch Original Art and Envelope (1968-80). R. Crumb writes to one of his idols, Disney artist Ward Kimball, and even includes Crumb's version of Mickey Mouse! This unusual item, sent as a thank you for a collection of Mickey Mouse newspaper strips, was written in marker on bond paper measuring 8.5" x 11", and probably dates to 1968 -- Crumb mentions his new comic at the time, Snatch ("...America's first high-grade sex comic... should be a winner"), and mentions how Zap Comix is "...selling like hot cakes... in fact it's selling better than hot cakes...". Also included is an envelope from a 1980 correspondence, listing Crumb's Winters, California address. The letter was at one time folded once down the middle, and the envelope, which also includes a Crumb rubber stamp image, is postmarked; otherwise, both items are in Excellent condition.
