Robert Crumb - "Kathy and Judy" Sketchbook Page Original Art (1961). These drawings are from a high-school era sketchbook by Robert Crumb, and, as is typical of that time in Crumb's life, the emphasis is on objects of desire. In this case, that would be a young lady named Kathy Kent, seen here from behind, with a Toad-like character looking longingly at her. Another young woman is pictured in a nicely shaded portrait, with the name "Judy Lamb" beside her. The rest of this side of the page is filled with various comical faces, and a Fritz sketch. On the reverse are notes from Crumb's World History class on the Russian Revolution, along with a sketch of a rather tattered woman and her extremely homely "baby" peering out of his carriage. Drawn in pencil on a 5.25" x 8.25" sketchbook page, marked 83 and 84, the art is in Excellent condition.
