Richard Corben - Character Development Sketch Original Art Group (HMH, 1979). Fascinating set of character designs on eight pages, developed for a proposed "barbarian" comic serial in Playboy involving Richard Corben, Skip Williamson, and Shel Silverstein. The character sketches are actually tightly finished pieces, superbly rendered in ink and watercolor or color markers on paper. The pages are roughly 8.5" x 11". Included with the art is a two-page typed script synopsis, a six-page rough penciled layout, a photo of Skip, Shel, and Richard together, and a letter from Richard to Skip explaining why he decided to drop out of the project, on his personal stationery and envelope. Excellent overall condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
