Osamu Tezuka - Astro Boy Sketch Original Art (1965). Tezuka's vision, unfiltered! This ink sketch of Astro Boy was drafted at a 1965 Takashimaya autograph session. A rare and historically significant artifact from the "God of Manga". Astro Boy, the first major Japanese animated TV hero, defined the anime aesthetic, with Tezuka drawing inspiration from Disney and Fleischer's expressive, large-eyed character designs, forever shaping global animation. Ink on a Gold-coated Shikisi board with an image area of 6.5" x 9". The board is laminated with chipping around the edges, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
