    Description

Leo Morey - "World of Slaves" Pulp Illustration Original Art (undated). Ever since H. G. Wells' celebrated War of the Worlds story, science-fiction fans have been fascinated with a theme of machine weapons which attempt to enslave mankind. From Magnus, Robot Fighter to "The Matrix", the theme never fails to captivate! Leo Morey's pulp vison ranks among the best visualizations of this leit motif and this drawing was once housed in the collection of science-fiction maven Sam Moskowitz, who is often cited as the world's foremost authority on science-fiction. Leo Morey became the chief artist for Amazing Stories after Frank R. Paul left the title. The overall size of this ink on board illustration measures 11.25" x 15" and the art is in Excellent condition.
