Kelly Freas- Illustration Original Art (undated). Hugo award winner Kelly Freas' acrylic on board painting recalls the famed Friedrich Nietzsche quote, "If you stare into the Abyss long enough the Abyss stares back at you". The image area of the painting is 12.75" x 13", and the art is in Excellent condition. From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini. Richard says: "We've known Kelly Freas for a long time; he's one of the true originals of science fiction and fantasy illustration, and a true gremlin to boot. He's one of those rare sorts who's always experimenting with different media, with new methods of artistic expression, and over the years we've owned several Freas pieces from sketches up through major paintings. This one is simply, hypnotically intriguing."
