    Description

Jack Kirby - Mister Fantastic and Invisible Girl Sketch from Heroes and Villains Sketchbook Original Art (c. 1970s). In the early 1970s, Jack Kirby began what would become the famed Heroes and Villains sketchbook. He began filling a sketchbook with images of characters he had created, and when finished, he gifted it to his beloved wife Roz Kirby. In 1987, Roz Kirby graciously decided to share this book with the world, and allowed it to be reproduced as a mass market hardcover book titled Jack Kirby's Heroes and Villains. In the mid 2000s, the original art sketchbook was disassembled and the pages sold individually. This stunning piece was one of those pages. It features Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's groundshaking creation, The Fantastic Four. Pure graphite on 8.25" x 10.75" paper. Signed in the top right. Matted to 11.25" x 13.5". In Excellent condition.
