    Description

Jack Kirby - Circus Characters Concept Sketch Original Art (c. 1980s). Most likely from the very fertile period of time when Kirby was pitching ideas to Ruby-Spears and other animations studios. There is a known drawing of "Roxie's Raiders" that has a clown in the background, but it is unknown if this is the same clown. Still, the Raider's pitch seemed to have a semi-Circus theme to many characters. This piece has a human cannonball, a clown, and a trapeze artist. The Kirby Museum has verified that this is indeed art by Jack "King" Kirby. It was rendered in graphite on illustration board with an image area of 27" x 19.25". There is a small spot on the bottom left corner, and edge wear and corner wear on the board. In Excellent condition.
