Description

Hank Porter - Mickey Mouse "Symphony Hour" Good Housekeeping Illustration Original Art (Good Housekeeping, 1942). The Good Housekeeping series of color Walt Disney pages has thrilled fans and collectors since its inception in 1934, and for ten years, each monthly issue would provide a page or two of this wonderful art, along with specially written verse. This group of five separate watercolor illustrations, drawn together on two pieces of board, has been professionally matted and framed to an overall size of 23.5" x 31.75". These illustrations, drawn by Hank Porter, appeared in the April, 1942 issue. Mickey seems to have his hands full conducting Donald and Goofy in these playful drawings; won't you lend him a hand and add this to your collection, by way of a strong bid? The art is in Very Good condition. This sequence was printed on page 293 of David Gerstein's encyclopedic history, Walt Disney's Mickey and the Gang, Classic Stories in Verse.
