    Description

Gil Kane - Batman Sketch Original Art (1977). Gotham City's guardian never looked so dynamic, than in this pencil and marker sketch by legendary Gill Kane. Drawn on the back of a promotional flyer for NEA, this interesting item also features a large photo of Kane himself, set against some of his Star Hawks daily comic strips. At the time of this drawing, Kane was the recent winner of the National Cartoonist Society's Reuben Award for "Story Strip" category for his illustration of Star Hawks, the first two-tier strip for daily he co-created with Ron Goulart. The art has an image area of 11" x 16.5" and, aside from a slight discoloration from former matting, the art is in Excellent condition.
