Frank Frazetta - Original Preliminary Sketch, Frontier Conflict (undated). This color sketch by Frank Frazetta depicts a life or death situation between an indian and a white man, and it appears that the warrior has the upper hand. Drawn in pencil and painted in watercolor, it's loosely rendered, but maintains every nuance of the scene, from the straining muscles to the attitudes of both figures. The overall art size is 10.75" x 13.5" and the color sketch measures 8.5" x 9.5". The other side of this sketch features some small pen and ink drawings, including several head sketches and a small nude male figure. Signed by Frank Frazetta the the bottom right. Provenance: The Alexander Gallery.
