Frank Frazetta Indian Maiden Sketch Original Art (1978). Frank Frazetta was a master of drawing the female form. Simple, supple, sensual... there are just not enough "S" words to describe this one. And unlike the majority of Frazetta works, this one has never been offered on the market before. Even longtime Frazetta collectors and experts have never seen this piece (or another three also in this auction) as they were sold to collector and film producer Tom Warford in 1978 and have remained in his collection since then. Pioneering dealer/publisher Russ Cochran arranged the original sale as these four pieces were intended for Cochran to sell them at Phil Seuling's 1978 New York Comic Art Convention. But Frazetta held the pieces back, and when Cochran and Warford visited him in his home after the show, he agreed to sell them to Warford at that time. It is a true pleasure to see such vintage Frazetta works as these emerge for fans and collectors to see for the first time in over 35 years! Ink over graphite on cream colored paper with an image area of 3.5" x 5.5". It's framed in a 10" x 12" glass front frame. In Excellent condition.
