    Description

Dave Berg - Original Art Girlie Gag for Humorama (undated, 1960s). A zaftig beauty by the inimitable Dave Berg, this girlie gag was published in an issue of Humorama, though we can't pinpoint exactly which. We're also not certain of the finished caption, as Berg provides two possibilities on the back of the art: "Charley! This is a surprise!" (which is crossed out), and "Hi Susie; thought I'd surprise you tonight!" Either way, it's an exceptionally lovely piece rendered in ink, wash, and white-out on thick illustration board. Measures 10" x 13.5".
