    Description

Charles Schneeman - Astounding Magazine, page 129 Illustration Original Art (Street and Smith, 1939). When a friend showed Charles Schneeman an early copy of Amazing Stories in 1927, it was his undoing. "The world lost a chemist as I went down the science fiction drain", he wrote. Schneeman gives form, texture and epic scale to E. E. Smith's "Gray Lensman" story in this incredible ink illustration from the November, 1939 issue of Astounding. The image area measures 8" x 11.5". Some paper tanning; otherwise the condition is Very Good. From the Collection of John McLaughlin.
