Description
Bob Clarke Sketchbook - Art by Jack Davis, Sergio Aragonés, Arnold Roth, and Others (c. 2000-01). The late MAD Magazine cartoonist had a 8.5" x 12" clothbound sketchbook that he had begun to carry with him to conventions, where he asked various old friends and new artists he admired to contribute drawings. Included within are full-page pieces by fellow MADmen Jack Davis, Arnold Roth, Sergio Aragonés, Duck Edwing, Grey Blackwell, plus Al Bigley (Batman), Jim Scancarelli (Gasoline Alley), Dave Graue (Alley Oop), Patrick McDonnell (Mutts), George Breisacher, Joe Ruisi (Aquila the Hon), Art Roche, Roy Schneider, John Norton, Bill Gallo, Tak Bui (Washington Post "PC & Pixel Comix" artist), and Revilo (aka Oliver Christianson). Bob added six sketches himself in the back of the book. In total, there are 23 pages in the book with artwork; the rest are left blank. Book is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
