Bernie Wrightson - Vampire and Vampire Hunter Illustration Original Art (undated). Imagine the sheer terror of this situation: trying to impale a snarling vampire in a moonlit graveyard, as he vaults a row of tombstones, just before he sinks his fangs into your jugular, and drains away your life's blood. Who better to capture such a tense do-or-die moment than the modern master of the macabre, Bernie Wrightson? Included in this lot are two works, a graphite pencil preliminary of the composition, and also the finished, full colored, inked drawing. Each piece's image area measures 7" x 10.5". The works are in Excellent condition and matted side-by-side. The painted piece is signed at the lower left. A true collector's item, this is Bernie Wrightson at his best, worthy of a place in even the most discriminating of collections.
