    Description

Bernie Wrightson - Original Art Illustration of Swamp Thing (DC, 1975). Eerie, wonderful full-body illustration of Bernie Wrightson's classic Swamp Thing, rendered in BW's trademark lush inking style. We are not sure if this was ever published, but it has a DC stamp and the words "written off" on the back. There is moderate white-out to the left of the figure, and on both sides of his head. With an image area measuring approximately 4" x 11", the piece is inscribed "To Bill Tighe," and is signed by Wrightson. Also included is a yellow post-it with the notation, "Bill - I'm not sure if this is the first Sw. Th. Bernie".

More information about Bernie Wrightson, also known as Wrightson, Bernie, Berni Wrightson, Bernie Wrightson.
