    Description

Alex Toth Personal Correspondence with Small Doodles (various). Offered here is a very interesting collection of correspondences between Alex Toth and artist/editor Al Dellinges, who worked together on several projects and were correspondents for many years. In some cases, Toth has returned the original letter with his own added notations, but there are also several of Toth's famous hand-lettered missives with accompanying small illustrations, as well as three envelopes bearing Toth doodles, and an acetate proof of a cover for the government publication Commanders Digest. The letters are full of Toth's famous blunt, no-holds-barred prose, in one chastising Dellinges for asking that changes be made to a Batman doodle. The items are in Very Good condition. From the Al Dellinges Collection.
