Description
Sam Kieth and Michael Dringenberg Sandman #4 "A Hope In Hell" Page 14 Original Art (DC, 1989). A key plotline from "Master of Dreams," the first story arc of Neil Gaiman's critically acclaimed series Sandman, it saw Morpheus entering Hell to fight to retrieve his stolen helm. Here we see him use his sand to find the thief. Kieth's close-up shot of the Sandman (aka Dream/Morpheus) is highly iconic. As Gaiman's star status as a book author increases, his early comic work can only become more desirable. The page is produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 16" (a bit larger than most modern comic pages). It has a fair amount of toning, with some minor rust stains in the bottom margin. There is a tiny amount of corner wear and handling. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
