    Description

Salvador Larroca The Amazing Spider-Man #551 Story Page 15 Original Art (Marvel Comics, 2008). Larroca's bare-bones pencils-and-inks composition is structurally identical to the published version -- but drastically different in texture and tone. The distinction is that the artist then finished out the page in PhotoShop, adding shadings and degrees of line-weight that are nowhere to be seen in this embryonic, organically structured page. (Lettering also was applied digitally.) The sequence involves Spider-Man and rookie hero Jackpot in an ill-advised attack against an airborne creep called Menace. Signed at lower margin. Ink with detailed pencil art on Bristol board. Image area, 9" x 15.5". Excellent condition.
