    Description

    S. Clay Wilson -- Original Art Illustration (No Publisher, 1958). This unpublished piece from Wilson's "butcher paper" days is dated 6/12/58, signed "S.W." and features more colors than is typical on these early works. There is some mildew damage along the bottom of the piece, but this could easily be covered up by being matted and framed. Also, there is a 1" tear on the right side near the middle. Ten years after this piece was drawn, Wilson would gain notoriety by being one of the original Zap artists. Revered to this day, S. Clay Wilson is one of the most influential, and talented, of all underground comix artists. This is a unique opportunity to acquire one of his earliest works.
