    Description

Russ Heath - Original Art for Thrilling Adventures #1 Lot of 2 Pages (Atlas/Seaboard, 1975). Like many books published by Atlas/Seaboard in the '70s, Thrilling Adventures was very short-lived, and ran only two issues. Russ Heath had stories in both issues of this ill-fated thrill-mag; offered here are the first two pages from "Escape from Nine by 1", Russ's contribution to the debut edition, which he both wrote and drew, rendering in his lush gray-tone style, much as he did with the Warren magazines of the day. "Escape" is a gritty, hard-hitting tale of a P.O.W. and his internment in a Nazi stalag. These two pages showcase Heath at his best, with his meticulous attention to detail complemented by the moody, evocative wash tones. 2 pages, 11.5" x 17.5", excellent condition, with light white-out and editorial notes in the borders.
