    Description

Rube Goldberg Collier's Weekly "The Inventions of Professor Lucifer G. Butts, A.K." Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-2-30 (McNaught Syndicate, 1930). Everyone has heard of a "Rube Goldberg device," but the original art for the strips comes along seldom -- we've only seen pre-1950 examples on a couple of occasions. Here, our favorite inventor Professor Butts has figured out how to whip some cream in only 16 steps! This piece has an image area of 17" x 6.75". Edge wear, pinholes, and torn corners, all outside the image area. Very Good condition. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
