Description

Robert Crumb Zap Comix #9 "Lap o' Luxury" Page 2 Original Art (Print Mint, 1978). Little Bobby falls down and skins his knee -- that's worth at least a dollar, right Mommie? Page two of R. Crumb's bittersweet, tongue-in-cheek story about postwar suburban life, from Zap Comix #9. While many typical Underground Comix stories were mostly about getting high, Robert's work usually had a more subversive sexual undercurrent, and here he's relating incidents that would eventually lead to his more deviant grown-up desires (there's more of this in pages to follow). The art is in ink on sketchbook paper with an approximate image area of 8.25" x 12", matted and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 18" x 21". Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
