Robert Crumb Zap Comix #3 "Street Corner Daze" Complete 2-page Story Original Art (Apex Novelties, 1968). R. Crumb teaches the groovy flower children about the dangers of hard drugs, in this powerful two-pager. Originally used in 1968's Zap #3, the strip was reprinted in a special anti-drug comic, Tuff Shit Comics, in 1972. No doubt many a Haight Street runaway saw this famous story and had second thoughts on "shooting up" hard drugs like speed and heroin. The first page of this story is done in ink and Zipatone shading film on bristol, with an an image area of approximately 7.75" x 10.75" while the second is drawn on graph paper in ink, and has an image area of approximately 7" x 10". Both pages are matted together for an overall 24" x 19". On the back of the mat board is a sticker from the Whitney Museum of American Art, listing it as part of the "Human Concern Personal Torment" show that ran from October 14th through November 30th, 1969. Both pages have been slightly light struck from being framed, but are otherwise in Excellent condition.
