Robert Crumb Mr. Natural #1 "On the Bum Again" Page 1 Original Art (San Francisco Comic Book Co., 1970). Mr. Natural gets a severe case of the "Lemme Outta Here Blues", and packs his bag with the West Coast in mind, in this opening page to the classic two-part saga, "On the Bum Again." Natch's urge for goin' echoes the similar situation that R. Crumb found himself in while working a 9 to 5 gig at Cleveland's American Greetings Corp; that rowdy cowgirl who ropes our hero and demands to know the "secret of the universe" might as well have been Robert's first wife, Dana, only Crumb didn't have the nerve to tell his wife he was leaving for San Francisco back in January 1967 -- she found out after he had skipped town! This page has a cut-in title replacement in the first panel, done at the time by the artist (we wonder what the original title to this story was -- guess Mr. Crumb is the only one who knows), and has an approximate image area of 8" x 12". The page has some minor staining along the outer border area, but is otherwise in Very Good condition. A copy of Mr. Natural #1 is included.
