    Description

    Richard F. Outcault Buster Brown Hand Colored Sunday Comic Strip, dated 3-14 (Newspaper Feature Service, year unknown). Buster Brown first appeared in The New York Herald on May 4, 1902. Buster's companion in mischief was his bulldog, Tige, and the pup is said to be the first talking pet in American comics. This uproarious Sunday was partially hand colored by Richard Outcault to indicate the colors of the various elements to the engraver. This piece has an image area of 19" x 20". Aside from some edge and corner wear, the art is in Very Good condition.
