    Description

Richard F. Outcault Buster Brown Partial Sunday Comic Strip Original Art (American-Journal Examiner, c. 1910s). These two panels, that appear to be the top tier of a full-size Sunday strip, feature Buster and his talking dog Tige. Tige was the first talking dog in comic strips. This header was created in ink and blue wash shading over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 3.75" x 18.75". There are pinholes around the margins, the board is toned, and there is a shoe print in the image area. In Good condition.
