DescriptionPaul von Klieben "On Schedule" Ghost Town Painting (1953). Paul von Klieben, the man who shaped Ghost Town for Walter Knott, retired in 1953. This is a stunning example of his genius. This original painting on board is hand-titled "On Schedule on the frame. The image of a tired Wells Fargo Stagecoach driver with a four horse entourage in the Old West is simply stunning. Framed artwork is 55" x 67" with the stage coach taking up 42" x 22". Note the subtle image of a rabbit scurrying away from the stagecoach bound to come in "ON SCHEDULE". The artwork is in the original 1953 frame that it hung in in Ghost Town. There are holes in the frame from where the original painting was bolted to the wall. Please note the artwork is hand-signed "Von Klieben, 1953." This HAS to be one of his final Knott's paintings for Walter Knott and Ghost Town. Minor handling, surface wear, scratches. Very Good condition.
