    Description

Win Mortimer and Murphy Anderson Adventure Comics #383 Title Page 1 Supergirl Original Art (DC, 1969). The title page for the lead story "Please Stop My Funeral!" is a sad bit of foreshadowing, as the death of the Maid of Might would be a major element of DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths. Don't worry, Kara Zor-El is now the star of her own CW network TV series, Supergirl. The first panel of this page features Clark (Superman) Kent, Jimmy Olsen, Batman, and Robin. The page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board, then cut into two sections with the top edge trimmed down to the art image, and they were all repositioned on the page with glue and production tape to make room for the indicia paste-up at the bottom of the page (now missing, leaving glue residue in its place). The Supergirl logo is a discolored stat paste-up. The page is lightly toned, with glue residue and some missing word balloon paste-ups at the top. In Very Good condition.
