Description

William Johnson and Mike Mignola Daredevil #197 Story Page 18 Original Art (Marvel, 1983). Mignola's supple inking style dominates and distinguishes this heavy-action page, with Daredevil getting the better of two goons. Johnson shared the penciling chores on this issue with Klaus Janson and Larry Hama, and Janson and Mignola alternated on the inking duties -- a curious juxtaposition of unalike styles. This piece has a whopping good visual impact, radiating from a splendidly composed bottom panel. Johnson's signature appears twice. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Moderate toning. Adhesive staining on dialogue balloons. Two balloons missing. Good condition.
