    Description

Wally Wood Woodwork Gazette #2 "The End" Page 5 Original Art (Wood, 1978). This jaw-dropping page has everything a Wally Wood fan could want -- he was at the peak of his powers for these fantastic scenes. Fellow artist Roy Krenkel's anecdote about Wally Wood's work schedule is typical, "You'd come to Wally's door, and you'd realize Wally had been up all night. The door finally, slowly, opens, and Wally stands there with an absolutely glazed look in his eyes, totally incapable of focusing. The guy was totally obsessed with work. Why it didn't kill him, I'll never know." While it did finally take its toll, Wood's hard work paid off and his work made him a legend in the comic book field. The overall size of this page measures 14.5" x 23". There are a few touches of white-out and a few light glue stains in the word balloons; otherwise, the art is in Excellent condition.
