    Description

Wally Wood The Witching Hour #15 Story Page 5 Original Art (DC Comics, 1971). Time and again, comics master Wood would steer away from the mass-market publishers, and time and again he would be drawn back by economic necessity. This purely commercial assignment occurred during Wood's most defiantly independent period, when he was producing the purely artistic Witzend magazine. Wood gave full measure of artistry, even so, to this story, which concerns a scheme to provoke a mental patient to murder. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Slight word-balloon damage at upper left. Otherwise in Excellent condition.
