Description

Wally Wood MAD #21 "Under The Waterfront" Page 6 Original Art (EC, 1955). This parody of the 1954 Marlon Brando vehicle and winner of eight Academy Awards, On the Waterfront, just goes to show that it took the Usual Gang of Idiots two years to think of something funny to say. This was one of the last issues while it was still in comic book size and format. The title shifted to magazine format with issue #24 to escape the restrictions of the Comics Code Authority. The artwork features the talent of Wally Wood at his peak on this page of ink and Zipatone on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". The page is slightly tanned with some edge wear minor soiling at the bottom, however overall it is in Very Good condition.
